How To Link Your Google Analytics To Your Adwords Account
The best way to track and measure the success of your Adwords campaigns is to link your Google Analytics account to your Adwords account. We are then able to use the goals that are set up in your Analytics and use them as conversion metrics for the Adwords campaigns.
Goals may include product sales, website enquiries or time on site. We will be able to see which Adwords keywords are achieving these goals for you so we know what is working and what isn’t. If you don’t have Goals set up yet in your Analytics account yet, then I can help you with this.
Follow these steps to link your Google Analytics to your Adwords account being managed by us:
Login to your Analytics account and go to the ‘admin’ section
Click on ‘User Management’ under the Account column (make sure you have the correct account selected if you have more than one account on the same login).
Add the email address ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ with the Account Permissions of Edit, Collaborate, Read & Analyze. Tick the box to ‘notify this user by email’. This will alert us that you have added us so we can then link the Adwords account from our end.
That’s it. We will now have access to be able to link your Adwords account to your Google Analytics. Once linked you will be able to see your Adwords data in this section of your Analytics account (please note that after linking it can take 24 hours for the Adwords data to begin to show here).
